Walking into Darkside Studio, you would think you have just entered a
special effects shop somewhere in Hollywood, California, but one of the
world's finest mask crafters is right here in the Chicago south suburban
community of Steger. Owner Paul Daniels is the kind of guy that would give
you the shirt off his back if you asked. He is a father of four that has latex
coursing through his veins. "Darkside Paul" (as he is known) has been making
masks for 15 years and is know as one of the world's best mask makers.
Paul got addicted to the rubbery stuff as a mask collector and decided to
take the plunge himself in 1995. Darkside Studio was born out of his garage
and laundry room.

Paul and Darkside Studio has recently been featured on National
Geographics "Halloween Unmasked". Paul's home is know in Steger and the
south side as the Halloween house you have to check out! If you want a
top quality mask that is a work of art you have to take a trip to the
"Darkside"!
